Overall Opinion:
Resqwater is currently our favorite hangover cure for a lot of different reasons…
First and foremost, it works really well.
If you’re diligent about drinking a few of these over the course of a night, you have a pretty good chance of feeling better the next morning than if you had done nothing at all.
The ingredient list is top-notch, the bottles aren’t cumbersome, and the price isn’t too bad.
The taste, while much improved still isn’t the best.
But overall, this is a great thing to take during and after you have a few drinks!
The Details:
Ease of Use
At a minimum, you’re supposed to drink one of these after every few alcoholic drinks, and then one right before bed.
While that isn’t always the easiest thing to do, it’s absolutely necessary for these things to work.
Downing that last one right before you go to sleep is key.
Taste/Smell
Resqwater tastes sort of like lemon-lime Gatorade.
I remember a few years ago when this product tasted horrible.
Luckily, this newer formula’s taste is much improved.
The aftertaste is still a bit funky, but you won’t struggle getting these down!
Morning After Results
This is where Resqwater really shines.
I felt considerably better the next day after using this hangover cure as directed.
My headache wasn’t as intense as it usually is, and I definitely had more energy than I expected.
For me, there was a noticeable difference after using this!
Ingredient Analysis
Resqwater has a logical and effective lineup of ingredients.
It has 16 grams of sugar and 70 calories, which isn’t too bad. You need a little sugar to help replace what you’ve lost while drinking.
It also has a few electrolytes, namely phosphorous, potassium and sodium (unfortunately though the amounts are pretty small).
We know now that these are important for “morning after” recovery.
Rounding out the list is prickly pear extract, N-acetyl cysteine and milk thistle.
Those are all solid ingredients that have been showing, to varying degrees, to help with hangover symptoms.
Side Effects
I didn’t really experience many side effects after using this product.
My stomach ached a tiny bit immediately after drinking the first one, but it went away within 15 minutes.
After that first one, I didn’t notice anything on subsequent “doses” ;)
Price
Resqwater costs $25.50 for 6 bottles on their website.
That works out to $4.25 per 8 ounce bottle (or 56 cents per oz).
If you drink 2-3 of these a night, the cost get s a little pricey.
But that’s a small price to pay for feeling better the next morning!
Guarantee?
Resqwater has a 15-day guarantee from your purchase date.
The problem is, you have to email them, tell about your experience with the product and then wait for instructions on how to return it.
All that’s a pain. But at least they have something.
